12th Indonesian Film Festival

The Indonesian Film Festival is an annual student-run festival that aims to promote Indonesia's cinematic works. The festival comprises of short-film and educational screenings, workshops and discussions with industry experts, and feature film screenings held in the Australian Centre for Moving Images, Melbourne. The design should promote both Indonesia’s cultural identity and its role in the film industry. The festival's 12th year chose the theme of “Fragments of Time”, made to represent the beauty in the progression of Indonesia’s screen culture. The icon used to represent this concept revived the Indonesian Wayang Kulit from previous years and signified the development of screen based art in Indonesia that started with Wayang Kulit performance before the art form evolved into televised projections.
